CharityWorks

CharityWorks is a group of Washington, D.C.'s most prominent local community entrepreneurs who provide fund raising expertise to much needed, but poorly supported public service and charity organizations.

CharityWorks has no paid staff or resources. Each year, they select a highly prized, but often little recognized organization that is providing the safety net for at-risk children and families.

In 2003, CharityWorks is partnering with The Fishing School, a family and child support center operating in two of the most crime-ridden neighborhoods in the District of Columbia.

The Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation's grant will be used by The Fishing School to give 120 children in Washington, D.C. an opportunity to break free from the cycle of poverty, drug abuse and neglect that surrounds them.
